About the Role
Boats Daily is seeking a Certified Content Creator with a strong focus on post-production and social-first editing. This role is ideal for someone who excels at transforming raw footage into engaging, platform-optimized content that captures attention and drives performance.
You will work closely with our filmmakers, social media team, and leadership to edit, refine, and deliver high-quality content for both Boats Daily-owned and client social media accounts.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Transform raw production footage into engaging, high-performing social content
- Apply color correction and basic color grading to maintain brand consistency
- Add captions, motion graphics, hooks, and pacing optimized for social retention
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips and reels
- Organize, archive, and manage digital media assets
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to align edits with campaign strategy
- Meet tight turnaround times while maintaining quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and graphic overlays
- Understanding of social media editing trends and retention-focused storytelling
- Ability to edit in vertical and horizontal formats
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Clear communication and reliability in a remote environment
Minimum Equipment Requirements
- A high-performance computer capable of handling 4K video editing smoothly
- Reliable high-speed internet connection for large file transfers
- Licensed access to Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro required)
- Adequate storage solutions for handling large media files (external SSDs or equivalent recommended)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience editing within marine, luxury, or lifestyle industries
- Motion graphics experience (After Effects a plus)
- Ability to color grade LOG footage
- Familiarity with social analytics and performance tracking
